Human Trafficking, YES! It happens here!

For those generally unfamiliar with the magnitude of the problem, Human Trafficking is happening all around Ohio and involves the extreme exploitation of vulnerable people (mainly women and children) for the purposes of forced labor or commercial sex acts to obtain money or something of worth.  Ohio has the 5th highest number of reported cases in the nation, yet services to this population remain limited.  The Harriet Tubman Movement is a local non-profit organization who has done mighty work with over 300 victims since 2016.  Come hear their amazing story at the Burton Public Library on  May 8th at 2:00 PM and learn more about the trafficking crisis in our region.
